Welcome to the website of Newtown National School, Ardee.
We are a rural co-educational school situated about 6 km from Ardee in the beautiful country landscape of County Meath.
Our school caters for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class and in September 2020 we opened our first Autism Class. We opened our second Autism Class in September 2025. We have 3 multi-grade classes. Our Special Education team has two full time teachers and one part-time teacher. We have three SNA's. We use a simple track-suit style uniform. All items are generic.
Our small school lends itself to a great community and caring spirit among our pupils. Here, in Newtown, our school community promotes and fosters the holistic development of each child -intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual and cultural. We work closely with our very supportive parent body and we are fortunate to have a very active Parent Association.
